- About Upamanyu KarUpamanyu Kar is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, music educator and an author of musical books hailing from Kolkata, India. Upamanyu’s compositions and orchestrations has been widely recognized by the global audience. Upamanyu has worked with notable vocalists, musicians, conductors and renowned youth orchestras worldwide, such as the Pioneer Symphony Orchestra and the Indo-European Youth Orchestra, as an orchestral music arranger. Upamanyu has two published research-based musical albums in his name: ‘Numerous Strings’ and ‘Naborupe Rabindranath’, both of which have been widely appreciated among musicians and the global audience. He has also authored two books on Western Music. Upamanyu is also the Founder & Creative Director of a String Quartet named 'Tagore and the West'.
