GMI trio ft. Aditya & Sonic is a group that features Ester Wiesnerova (Slovakia) on vocals, Página Alex Corrêa (Brazil) on piano & Juancristobal Aliaga - Cachai (Chile) on guitar. They will be accompanied by Delhi’s popular live musicians Sonic Shori on bass and Aditya Dutta on drums. This eclectic quintet will feature a mix of modern jazz, Brazilian/world music and also feature some of their original compositions.

The performance will have an opening feature by Priyana Chauhan’s quintet that will comprise a mix of Jazz, Brazilian and also some original music. Priyana Chauhan currently studies at Global Music Institute and is a talented vocalist who writes and performs her songs. Her quintet will feature Eshaan Sood on guitar, Kabir Aggarwal on bass, Abhin Iype on piano, & Vasudev Singh on drums.

Voice : Ester Wiesnerova (Slovakia)

Ester Wiesnerova is a talented and skilled vocalist, composer/arranger and educator who graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Berklee College of Music. She has been performing for over five years and has recorded as a vocalist on a few albums. She is active as a composer and arranger and travels frequently as an educator and conducts vocal workshops and masterclasses. She has also won many awards including the ’30 Under 30’ Forbes Award in 2015. Ester is currently the voice faculty for the Fall 18 session at the Global Music Institute.

Piano : Página Alex Corrêa (Brazil)

Alex Correa is a talented pianist, composer, arranger and composer who was invited to attend a Jazz master's program in The Netherlands where he was also awarded the Noord Talen Award 2014. He has performed with many great musicians such as Gene Jackson, Pau Bollenbeck, Dejan Terzic and many others over the span of his performing career. He also plays with the Raul de Souza Quartet and Alex Sipiagin quartet. He travels frequently and conducts master classes across the world. Alex is currently the piano faculty for the Fall 18 session at the Global Music Institute.

Guitar : Juancristobal Aliaga - Cachai (Chile)

Juancristobal has been performing actively for over 10 years and has had the privilege of performing with renowned Chilean musicians such as Jorge Campos, Nicolas Vera, Andy Baeza, He has conducted master classes in Chile, Spain and USA. Juan is currently the guitar faculty for the Fall 18 session at the Global Music Institute.

Drums : Aditya Dutta (India)

Aditya Dutta is a professional drummer based in Delhi. He is a part of The Piano Man house band for the Sunday Musician Mixers. Performing and collaborating as a sessions drummer in the Delhi independent music circuit for the past 1 year, he has actively played with Rainer Pusch (Germany), Karan Khosla Trio, Aditi Dot., Rythem Bansal, Rie Ona (Japan), Ipshita Roy and various other musicians and acts from the city. His influences range from Jazz, Funk, R'n'B, Soul, Swing to Indian classical Music. He also serves as the drum faculty at various music schools across the city and actively provides private lessons to people keen on learning drums.

Bass : Sonic Shori (India)

Sonic Shori is a professional bassist in the city of Delhi. He is a student of Grammy-nominated Greek-American musician Panagiotis Andreou. He has comprehensive stage experience, and has collaborated with musicians from several different genres including classical, fusion, funk and metal. His playing combines complexity with cohesion, and playing melodies with dexterity, musicality and tenacity. Over the last few years, Sonic has collaborated with several bands in Delhi and across India, such as Kaash, Antariksh, Trizya, and Adil and Vasundhara.

No dangerous or potentially hazardous objects including but not limited to weapons, knives, guns, fireworks, helmets, lazer devices, bottles, musical instruments will be allowed in the venue and may be ejected with or without the owner from the venue.
