Taking it up a notch in the second edition of Bighorn, we bring to you American metal heavyweights As I Lay Dying who are embarking on their Asia tour in support of their 7th studio album 'Shaped By Fire'  to Delhi NCR.

As I Lay Dying is an American heavy metal band from San Diego, California. Founded in 2000 by vocalist Tim Lambesis, the band's first full lineup (including Lambesis' Point of Recognition bandmate Jordan Mancino) was completed in 2001. The band has released seven albums, one split album, and two compilation albums.

As I Lay Dying's fourth studio album An Ocean Between Us peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on the Top Rock chart. The band has performed at events such as Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Soundwave Festival, Sounds of the Underground, Warped Tour, Bloodstock Open Air and Taste of Chaos. In 2007, As I Lay Dying won the "Ultimate Metal God" award from MTV2 at the first annual "All That Rocks" special; was named "Artist of the Year" at the San Diego Music Awards in 2005, 2007 and 2008; and was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award for the song "Nothing Left." Their fifth studio album The Powerless Rise was written over a three-year period, and was released in May 2010 to widespread critical acclaim. Their most recent album, Awakened, was released on September 25, 2012.

The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2014 when Lambesis was incarcerated and sentenced to six years in prison for soliciting the murder of his estranged wife. The remaining members formed Wovenwar with vocalist Shane Blay.

In 2018, Lambesis reunited with Hipa, Sgrosso, Mancino and Gilbert. On June 8, 2018, the band released the song "My Own Grave", their first recording in six years. They released their seventh studio album, Shaped by Fire, on September 20, 2019.

Alien Sky Cult

In Support are one of Indian metalcore's long lasting acts in Alien Sky Cult who are due to release their 2nd album and are making a grand comeback with more acts to be announced.

Alien Sky Cult formed in October 2011. The band started out with Shung and Syd on Guitars/Vocals and Drums respectively. With Akkshit and Adarsh completing the Vocals and the lead guitars sections. And Mohan filling in for Bass duties.

We are influenced by early Metalcore and Hardcore bands. There is no general direction of what we are trying to do. Rather pushing the boundaries whatever they might be.

Released our first song "FATE" on 22/02/2012. Recorded/Mixed/Mastered at Lucid Recess Studio.

We released our Debut EP on 23|02|2013. Recorded/Mixed/Mastered by Keshav Dhar at Illusion Studios.

Trancemigrate

Formed in the summer of 2007 in the low, rolling Karbi Anglong hills of Assam, Trancemigrate has endured numerous name and lineup changes to get to where it is now. Relocating to Delhi in early 2014, the band was finally completed after Desmai on bass was added late in the year.

Lineup completion brought renewed focus to Trancemigrate and led them to release their first single "Cataleptic Bridge" on 16th March 2015 in anticipation of releasing a full length album which is happening in 2020. "Cataleptic Bridge" was mixed by Raikom & Shongza and mastered by Acle Kahney (Tesseract) of 4D Sounds.

Over the years, they have released singles, the most recent being ‘Null’ in July this year, with Rolling Stone terming it ‘rattling djent’. While the band’s sound moves from being hardcore to psychedelic with elements of folk and lyrics pertaining to folklore, their lyrics are mostly in English and interspersed with breakdowns.

The musicians have all been involved with various other projects over the years, while also forming Kum Chirui to write songs on the softer side of things, but have always kept at performing as Trancemigrate over 12 years now.
