RULES AND GUIDELINES:
Get ready for the ultimate showdown of lyrical prowess and flow mastery. Sause is the platform for up-and-coming emcees to showcase their skills and earn their place at the top of the hip hop heap. With 2 rounds of fierce competition this is your chance to prove that you have what it takes to be the next big thing in the rap game.
The rappers are not allowed to use profanities or sexually suggestive lyrics, punishable by disqualification.
Using the internet or any other resources apart from the starter pack will not be permitted. Songs/music from all genres are welcome. Each participant will bring their own soundtrack. The rap lyrics should not offend any opponents. Participants who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by the organizers will be disqualified from the competition.
Judging Criteria:
Quality of lyrics and the effective use of vocabulary. Flow of the rap and fluency in Language. Tone, expression and voice modulation. Creativity and originality.Impact of the performance.
Round 1: Elimination Round – 1 on 1 Battle round. The combination of 2 competing participants will be created on a RANDOM basis.
A theme will be given (based on the Ras (emotion)a-emotion chosen) on the spot, during the registration. Preparation time would be provided between the registration for the event and the start of the event. The participants will battle against each other and only one participant will advance to the next round from each battle.
(P.S. For the elimination round - Two participants getting the same emotion will compete against each other in the elimination round out of which one will qualify to the final round)
Round 2: Finale – This will be a freestyle round. All finalists will perform a pre-prepared set individually one by one.
Note: Elimination round depends on the number of participants, more rounds can be added.
