Performed at the Cannes film festival in 2019 for her music activist score in the "Coup de Cœur" award-winning film - Voyage for Change, Tritha Sinha is a vocalist, composer, and music producer based out of New Delhi and Paris. She trained in Indian classical music at the age of five and learned in famous gharanas in India like Agra, Bishnupur under Pandit Santanu Bandyopadhyay over the last 2 decades, and Dhrupad under Padmashri Gundecha Brothers. 8 albums made, her debut album PaGLI released on Sony Music in 2014, where she earned her license to break the rules, unlearn and re-interpret what she had learned in her classical methods. Her next album "Raagas in Paris" released in 2016 on Silk Road label where she explored Indian classical with psychedelic rock with 2 french musicians with who she formed her rock band Tritha Electric, Soon after, in the same year, her next album, "Elements d'existence" which she produced with a french "roots" musician, Martin Dubois, released which was based on the 5 elements. Over the years, her work has been highlighted by the BBC, Tehelka, Marie Claire, ARTE, and Canal Plus. She was also featured by Magnum Photo Agency in their exhibition “Women Changing India”. Tritha also has co-founded SPACE, an artist collective based in New Delhi that creates music to provoke dialogue about gender justice. She represented India at a music residency Onebeat in the USA featuring 25 socially engaged musicians across the world in the year 2016.
Performed around 18 countries in the last decade, Tritha also composes music for films and conducts Indian classical music and Music Meditation workshops for voice, health, and mind benefits. In her electro-folk solo performance, Tritha will be seen experimenting using her voice with Tibetan bowls, Guitar, Computer, Live-looper as her instruments and sing her compositions of folk and Indian classical with contemporary electronic sounds and drum machines.
