Birraj is a Delhi-based pianist, and composer. Not restricted to any one genre, he expresses great versatility. He started learning music at the age of 5 from the Delhi School of Music under the guidance of Mr. John Raphael director of Delhi School of Music. Having passed with distinctions in practical and theory examinations with the Trinity College of Music, he was awarded a scholarship by The Delhi School of Music for 2 consecutive years from 2014-16. Completing all 8 grades (Trinity College, London) in Western Classical Music, Birraj has been able to pursue music full time with a keen interest in Jazz, Funk and Western Classical He played for The Revisit Project a Jazz/Funk outfit from New Delhi for two years opening for artists such as Louis Banks, Sheldon d’Silva at the Indian Jazz Circuit, performing over 100 shows all around the country and features on their second and third album titled ‘Brown Man’s Funk’ and ‘Born in Delhi’.
